Hello everyone and welcome to the Terrible Table website. Too often I hear stories about poker players who lose their cool in the heat of battle. They blame the cards, they blame the dealers, they say the site they are playing on is rigged, and most of all they blame the other players at the table for being so stupid that a nut-less monkey has a better chance at winning in a poker game than they do.
I’m hear to let you know that you’re not alone in thinking these things. However I have to let you in on a little secret. The dealers are just innocent bystanders, online poker sites are not rigged, and the cards have nothing to do with why you lost. But those nut-less monkeys we call “fish” can definitely hold some of the blame. You can’t tell them that though because if a fish learns how to play, it will cost you money in the long run. So I found the better solution is to smile and nod while at the table, then take a walk and call up a buddy to rant about how you now feel the need so go to a hospital and make all the newborns cry just to feel better about yourself. Games like this are what I like to call, “Terrible Tables”.
If you’ve been playing poker for any length of time you have experienced the pure joy one can expect from a terrible table draw. Typically this table is full of absolutely atrocious players who are making the PERFECT combination of bad plays at the right times to cause you so much frustration it takes years off the back end of your life. This website is dedicated to the men and women, old and young, novice and professional alike that make playing poker so difficult you just simply want to go to your nearest pet shop and stomp a small animal to death.
